On November 26, on the occasion of UNESCO World Olive Tree Day, in collaboration with AMO Ostuni Olive Trees we launched a competition aimed at primary school children. The objective was to draw or paint a monumental olive tree and out of 370 participants, 30 winners were selected and announced on the morning of the 26th at the Municipality of Ostuni. Making a choice was very complex, the children managed to represent the difficult situation of our monumental olive trees with disarming simplicity and sincerity, creating truly unique works. Some copies of the drawings will be sent to regional, national and European authorities such as Sergio Mattarella, Giorgia Meloni and Raffaele Fitto, amplifying the message of urgency and the need to act now.
